You will need an unthethered jailbreak in order to be able to boot your iphone properly. I suggest you do so ( http://cydiahelp.com/jailbreak-5.0.1-untethered-iphone-4-3gs-ipod-touch-4g-3g-ipad-with-redsn0w-0.9.10b1-tutroial/ ). Otherwise in order to boot your iphone you must connect it to the computer, each time you wish to do so, if you insist on tethered jailbreak.
Long story short i lost my laptop that had all my songs/videos/apps and stuff and i only have my iphone but im getting a mac soon and i wanted to know if there was a program i could download to get all my stuff to the computer from my ipod/phone. THANKS

Yes. It’s called SharePod. I found it from google
I have the little white thing that plugs in to the iPad itself, and the long black HDMI cable. I know I need a component cable that will split the video and audio and such, but I can’t seem to find the right thing. Can someone point me to an apple or an eBay link maybe? Thanks so much!

You say component, so here is a link for that.

Most older TVs need Composite input. Here is a link for that too.

My Mac laptop runs 10.5 Leopard. If I download iOS 5 onto my iPhone 4 from another computer that has Snow Leopard (assuming my music and data will get erased), will I be able to download the data back onto my iPhone from my laptop?
Answer by Doru Ubuntu
Why don’t you upgrade your laptop to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard? The install DVD is only $ 29.99 at the apple store. Or even to Mac OS X 10.7 Lion???
An operating system can never run on another operating system…
iOS5 is the newest operating system designed by apple (Mac) for portable devices such as iPod, iPhone (maybe even iPad, don’t know for sure), while Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is another operating system also designed by apple (Mac) for laptops (MacBooks), Mac Mini, all-in-one’s (iMac) and desktop (Mac Pro) Apple computers.
Although based on the same architecture, they are designed for different use, on different devices.
Another good example would be the Android operating system, it is based on and derived from the Linux operating system, just tailored for use on portable devices (smart phones and tablets).
If however your question is if your Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard laptop would recognize your iOS5 iPhone4, I couldn’t tell you, as I use neither.
I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, but my phone is an HTC Inspire from AT&T and it uses the Android 2.3.3 operating system, 768MB memory.
I access my phone in Linux Mint, it is 100% compatible for both tethering (use as modem) and data access.
I am on Beta 2 of iOS 5. Would i be able to go straight from beta 2 to beta 4 or do i have to go to beta 3 then 4?

You should be able to skip Beta 3.
Link please!

No and if there is, it’s a tethered jailbreak (have to rejailbreak each time phone switched off then on)
to delete my apps? I am running out of memory. Thank you
Answer by MeesterDork
go to App Config
delete Apps
select the App you want to delete
be sure to use Revo Uninstaller to do that.
I have to record my voice for a weekly assignment and then email it to my teacher. How do i do this on a Dell inspiron 1501 laptop? I don’t have a microphone, how can I find out if there is a built-in one? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Answer by Hobbes
Check into Audacity for the actual recording part..
To see if it has a built-in one, you should be able to open up your control panel > sounds and look at the “Input” or “Sound Recording” section to see if there is anything hardware-wise that says “Built-in Microphone” or something similar. If you just have something that reads “ Audio Input” or similar, you won’t have a built-in one.
Another way you could manage it is to use the voice recorder on a cell phone, save the file to the phone and attach it to the computer in USB Storage mode. You should be able to find the recorded file and send it that way.
so i accidentally updated my iPhone 4 to the io5 and it was jail broken(i know stupid). i went to the t-mobile store and they told me to wait a while for it to update. Now, i’ve waited for about 5-6 weeks and my iphone 4 still hasn’t updated. i’m wondering how long will it take/what do i need to do for it to update, if there is any way?
Answer by Ugur
