Okay so I have finally gotten the time to update my Iphone, but people have been saying the update wipes out EVERYTHING on your phone. I really don’t want to lose my contacts,pictures,messages etc. Is there any way of preventing it from happening? Did this happen to any of you who updated your Iphone?

I updated our iPad 2′s to iOS 5 and we lost our passwords that were saved and a few other things. I would recommend doing a full backup in iTunes before doing the update and writing down any passwords for GameCenter etc.

I know you can individually right click on them to delete them but I have a PC and I don’t know if it’s just slow or what, but it takes forever just to select them and usually it won’t delete them, as if it’s still loading something. Isn’t there an easier way somehow?
Also, is it possible to automatically remove the empty spots on my iPhone (4 with iOS 5) screen from when I delete apps? Moving them over from other screens is tedious.

You can open the “automatically” options at iTunes. Then it will automatically delete the apps from my computer that I deleted on your iPhone. But if you mistake delete something, it will difficult to recover. You should think more about it.

I recently installed Windows 7 and synced my iPhone for the first time, overnight, then in the morning i realized i only had five songs out of 143, i haven’t backed it up either, and this is all brought music!

i’ve read in a blog (cant remember which one) that if you have bought music from itunes. they will scan your account activity and let you redownload the music lost to the registered ipod, iphone etc.

they don’t make this public information for some reason, but you can always ask their support team.

every time i connect through pc … itunes ….. it always ask me to update to 4.3.4 ..
i can update ,,.
but i am afraid … ki what will happen to all my apps ..
and . after update .. will it be still jailbroken ::???????????

Dont update all jailbroken materiel will be lost and apple may have the right to scan the iphone for any hacks and shut it down
