You will need an unthethered jailbreak in order to be able to boot your iphone properly. I suggest you do so ( http://cydiahelp.com/jailbreak-5.0.1-untethered-iphone-4-3gs-ipod-touch-4g-3g-ipad-with-redsn0w-0.9.10b1-tutroial/ ). Otherwise in order to boot your iphone you must connect it to the computer, each time you wish to do so, if you insist on tethered jailbreak.

What cables besides the 2AV do I need to connect my iPad to an older TV?

I have the little white thing that plugs in to the iPad itself, and the long black HDMI cable. I know I need a component cable that will split the video and audio and such, but I can’t seem to find the right thing. Can someone point me to an apple or an eBay link maybe? Thanks so much!

You say component, so here is a link for that.

Most older TVs need Composite input. Here is a link for that too.

Does iOS 5 run on Leopard operating system?

January 31st, 2012 admin No comments

My Mac laptop runs 10.5 Leopard. If I download iOS 5 onto my iPhone 4 from another computer that has Snow Leopard (assuming my music and data will get erased), will I be able to download the data back onto my iPhone from my laptop?

Answer by Doru Ubuntu
Why don’t you upgrade your laptop to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard? The install DVD is only $ 29.99 at the apple store. Or even to Mac OS X 10.7 Lion???

An operating system can never run on another operating system…

iOS5 is the newest operating system designed by apple (Mac) for portable devices such as iPod, iPhone (maybe even iPad, don’t know for sure), while Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is another operating system also designed by apple (Mac) for laptops (MacBooks), Mac Mini, all-in-one’s (iMac) and desktop (Mac Pro) Apple computers.
Although based on the same architecture, they are designed for different use, on different devices.

Another good example would be the Android operating system, it is based on and derived from the Linux operating system, just tailored for use on portable devices (smart phones and tablets).

If however your question is if your Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard laptop would recognize your iOS5 iPhone4, I couldn’t tell you, as I use neither.
I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, but my phone is an HTC Inspire from AT&T and it uses the Android 2.3.3 operating system, 768MB memory.
I access my phone in Linux Mint, it is 100% compatible for both tethering (use as modem) and data access.
