went through the jailbreak steps, last one wasnt working correctly, so i had to quit it and now my phone will not work altogether, ive tried resetting it and when i plug it into my computer itunes does not respond to it, nor any other program. it just sits there… black as anything

You’ll want to place the device in recovery mode by searching proper steps on google. I would tell you but I’m on my iPhone right now. Once in recoverymode itunes will automatically recover your firmware.

I have lots of stuff in the iPhone and went I update is going to delete all me stuff that I bouht like music and games I was thinking can the stuff that I already bouht from app store and itune can I get it for free since I allready bougth it? Please read and thanks.

Anything you buy through iTunes is saved to your account an can always be redowoaded in iTunes on computer or on iPhone in AppStore/iTunes. You won’t lose anything

I really want to upload some videos and photos from my phone to my mac, but when i plug it into the computer, itunes comes up and my iphone charges but no other recognition is made of the phone. How do i get files from my phone to my mac without having to send them to myself and open up the email from my mac?
