Help me determine how to keep email messages on all servers after forwarding them to an iphone.?
I’m trying to help my friend. He has a university account and a Hotmail account. He has his university email forwarding to his Hotmail account, and now has his iPhone set to receive all of his Hotmail (which includes the forwarded university email).
Our problem: He wants the university email to remain on his university server as well so that they are there if he signs into his university webmail account – but they’re not.
Where are we going wrong? Thanks for any help!

Not much is explained here that is useful but I am just going to go with what I think.
Is the University email a domain email like @univeristy.com if so then you are using pop/smtp email options for your email server now this has to do with the email company you are dealing with log into the university email on a computer and click options find the pop settings and set it to save emails on server so that if it transfers it makes a copy otherwise it will send to the device without saving on the server. truly I hate when this happens I had a client that made me put back 2,000 useless emails back it was terrible, terrible I tell you!
i try to write the answers your problem in my blog http://www.mystructuredsettlement.co.cc you can see any problem in my blog.
