How to disable the pinch-to-zoom feature on the touchpad of a Sony Vaio?

I just got a new Sony Vaio laptop and the pinch-to-zoom feature that randomly makes text larger and smaller is driving me crazy! Is there any way to disable this “feature” before I have to check myself into a padded room? Thanks for any help.

in the notification area find the mouse driver icon and open the settings and go to multitouch
